Event Description

BILLINGS, Mont. — The Bureau of Land Management and Forever Branded will host a Wild Horse and Burro adoption event at Stoltz Ranch, a Forever Branded Adoption Center, in Pompeys Pillar, Montana, June 27-28, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day.

This event will provide the public an opportunity to adopt about 12 available wild horses from Oregon. All animals are $125. Potential adopters are encouraged to submit an online application ahead of time at wildhorsesonline.blm.gov

"Wild horses and burros are living symbols of the American West, and by adopting one, you’re becoming part of a legacy of resilience and freedom," said Patrick Merrill, BLM Montana/Dakotas Wild Horse & Burro Coordinator. "These animals are smart, strong, and adaptable – making excellent companions for farms, ranches, or outdoor adventures."
