LAKE HAVASU — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Office has temporarily closed the western boat launch at the Take Off Point recreation area due to damage caused to the structure, which has made the boat launch unsafe to use.

The eastern boat launch at Take Off Point is still fully functional, and other launch options are available in the area. The BLM encourages the public to visit those areas as an alternative for accessing Lake Havasu and the Colorado River.

BLM staff are assessing the extent of the damage and developing a plan for repairs. Updates on the repair timeline will be provided on the BLM Arizona social media channels and website as more information becomes available.

Contact the Lake Havasu Field Office at 928-505-1200 for more information.
