BLM Authorizes the A&K Earth Movers' Golden Valley Aggregate Pit Expansion
CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management, Sierra Front Field Office, has authorized a mineral sales contract for A&K Earth Movers (A&K) aggregate pit expansion at the Golden Valley pit. The project is located in Golden Valley, Nevada.
The authorized action includes the extraction of up to 2,517,256 tons of mineral materials using established extraction processes. Operations will expand onto approximately 29.5 acres of BLM-administered public land located north of the existing Golden Valley Pit resulting in 22.7 acres of new disturbance. This action will support regional public infrastructure, and construction needs and is consistent with BLM mineral materials policy.
