BLM approves Zito Fiber Optic Right-of-Way

ELKO, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management approved the Region 3 Zito Fiber project (Project), a fiber optic network that will connect numerous rural communities in Elko County, NV to high-speed internet.

The project includes installation of 237.4 miles of underground and overhead fiber optic cable that would provide telecommunication services from Wells to Ruby Valley, Elko to Owyhee, Elko to North Fork, Elko to Jiggs, and other locations in rural areas of Elko County, Nevada.
