BLM Approves Two New Day Use Areas at John Wesley Powell NCA

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued Categorical Exclusion (CE) documentation for John Wesley Powell National Conservation Area Day Use Areas: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0086-CE. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will construct and operate two day use areas in the John Wesley Powell National Conservation Area. The sites would include kiosks, parking areas, and shade structures. The project locations are on BLM-administered land in Uintah County along Jones Hole Road and Rough McKee Bench Road respectively.
