BLM approves third White Pine County CRDA land sale

ELY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management has approved the third in a series of competitive land sales, this one for two parcels totaling 1,055 acres near Ely, under the White Pine County Conservation, Recreation, and Development Act of 2006. The bureau has also approved two access roads within the sale parcels.

The act authorized the sale of 45,000 acres of public land to promote economic development with 5% of proceeds going to the state education fund; 10% to county law enforcement, fire protection, transportation, and natural resource planning; and 85% for land management activities in the county.
