BLM Approves Right of Way, 16 Drill Permits Uintah County
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office has issued a Decision Record for the Raptor 7 Natural Gas Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0208-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving Applications for Permit to Drill which authorize Koda GNB LLC (the applicant) to drill up to sixteen gas wells from the approved Raptor 7 Well Pad to produce from their existing federal mineral lease. The BLM relied on the Environmental Assessment U&O-FY26-038-EA prepared by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) which approved the rights-of-way for the well pad and associated surface infrastructure. The project location is on BIA-administered lands in in Township 9 South, Range 21 East, Section 7 (SLB&M) in Uintah County, Utah. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving a right-of-way amendment which authorizes Koda Uinta LLC (the applicant) to expand their Walker Hollow Battery 1 Facility, constructing a Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) pad and an associated access road. The project location is on BLM-administered land in approximately 21 linear miles southeast of Vernal, in Section 17, Township 7 South, Range 24 East S.L.B.&M. of Uintah County, Utah.
