GERLACH, Nev. — The Bureau of Land Management has approved the Mountain View gold exploration project within a 3,328-acre area of public lands about 16 miles north of Gerlach in Washoe County.

With this approval, Millennial NV LLC may explore for gold through up to 400 acres of phased surface-disturbing activities and baseline data collection to assess mineral development potential. Any future potential mining would include further environmental review and potential opportunities for public comment.
