BLM approves "Middle Mile” Fiber Optic Line in Lassen, Plumas Counties
CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management Sierra Front Field Office has approved rights-of-way (ROW) to the California Department of Technology, and to American Dark Fiber, for fiber optic facilities in the Hallelujah Junction area of Lassen and Plumas Counties, California. The ROWs are being issued in response to the “Middle Mile” Broadband initiative outlined in State Senate Bill SB 156, which provides foundational investment in broadband connectivity and infrastructure across California’s rural communities.
