BLM Approves Gridliance West Transmission Project Upgrades in Nevada
LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Land Management today approved the proposed 155-mile GridLiance West transmission project to upgrade an existing single-circuit 230-kV system to a double-circuit 230-kV or 500-kV system in Clark and Nye counties. This approval supports the Trump administration’s American Energy Dominance agenda.
With this approval, GridLiance West, LLC, may construct, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission an upgraded power transmission line and new, expanded, or modified substations, switchyards, and access roads. Transmission upgrades would be built on the west-side of the Spring Mountains from Las Vegas to Pahrump and Indian Springs.
