BLM approves Chin Creek Emergency Stabilization and Burned Area Rehabilitation Project

Project will implement emergency stabilization and burned area rehabilitation activities for the Chin Creek Fire to stabilize and prevent unacceptable degradation to natural and cultural resources.

ELY, Nev. — The Bureau of Land Management has issued a decision on a Determination of NEPA Adequacy to conduct emergency stabilization and burned area rehabilitation activities on the 2025 Chin Creek Fire located 57 miles northeast of Ely in White Pine County. The decision to approve the Project includes contour log felling, noxious weed inventories and treatments, and application of aerial herbicide.
