BLM approves Beacon Broadband right-of-way grant amendment
The Coos Bay District has approved Beacon Broadband Inc.'s application to amend its existing right-of-way (ROW) grant. The authorization will permit Beacon Broadband to expand their fiber optic infrastructure to provide affordable high-speed internet to underserved areas of Coos and Curry Counties. The proposed action includes the construction, operation, maintenance, and termination of approximately 21 miles of fiber optic lines across public lands. A 30-day administrative appeal period begins Feb. 3, 2026.
