Six Applications Approved for Anshutz Exploration Corporation
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Center Fork Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0175-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM approved six Applications for Permit to Drill for Anschutz Exploration Corporation (the applicant) to drill gas wells from the Center Fork F 17-4 Well Pad. The EA also analyzed effects from expanding the existing well pad and constructing associated pipelines. The project location is approximately 48 linear miles south of Vernal, Utah in NWNW of Section 17, Township 12 South, Range 24 East. S.L.B.&M. in Uintah County, Utah. WEM Operating LLC Receives Approval for Six Applications for Permit to Drill
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Horse 5 Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0131-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving six Applications for Permit to Drill which authorize WEM Operating LLC (the applicant) to drill oil wells from the Horse 5 Well Pad to produce from their existing Indian Trust mineral lease. The EA also analyzed non-surface effects from constructing the well pad with associated access roads and pipelines. The project location is on private surface approximately three linear miles southeast of Duchesne, Utah in Section 19, Township 4 South, Range 4 West, USM, in Duchesne County, Utah. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving three Applications for Permit to Drill which authorize Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC (the applicant) to drill three additional gas wells from the approved RW 44-21E Well Pad to produce from their existing federal mineral lease. The EA (DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2024-0055-EA) analyzed construction of the well pad and associated access roads and pipelines; no surface disturbance beyond that already approved would occur. The project location is on BLM-administered lands approximately sixteen linear miles south of Vernal, Utah in Section 21, Township 7 South, Range 23 East, SLM in Uintah County, Utah.
