BLM Announces Modified Fire Prevention Order for Spokane District Sept. 9, 2026
The Bureau of Land Management has implemented reduced restrictions to entry on lands administered by the BLM Spokane District to ensure firefighter and public safety while the Sinlahekin Fire is active. Much of the BLM lands that were closed are now open to public use. Please see amended closure area for the few acres that remained closed.

This order is effective at 12:01 a.m. PDT on September 10, 2026, and will remain in effect on BLM-administered lands within the Spokane District boundary until further notice.
