BLM announces fire prevention order for the Coos Bay District

PORTLAND, Ore.—The Bureau of Land Management has implemented restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM Coos Bay District.

The signed order is available online at the Oregon/Washington Fire Closures & Restrictions page.

This order is effective at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 3, 2026 and will remain in effect on BLM-administered lands within the Coos Bay District boundary until further notice.
