BLM announces fire prevention order for the Burns District July 7, 2026
Hines, Ore.—The Bureau of Land Management has implemented restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM Burns District, Oregon.

This order is effective at 12:01 a.m. PDT on July 10, 2026, and will remain in effect on BLM-administered lands on those public lands within the BLM Burns District. These orders will apply to all public lands (both State and Federal) within the BLM Burns District. The BLM has determined that these orders are necessary to enhance the safety of visitors and neighboring residents and their property, and to reduce the potential for damage to the environment. This order will remain in place until further notice.
