PINEDALE, Wyo. — The Bureau of Land Management is allowing Teton County to proceed with developing recreational facilities on three public land parcels along the Snake River. The proposed facilities will sit near Wilson Bridge and South Park Bridge.

BLM issued a decision record on the County’s October 2020 applications to develop here, as well as a finding of no significant impact for the work. Proposed facilities include access roads, parking areas, trails, boat ramps, and wildlife migration corridors. This will enhance public access and outdoor recreation opportunities while maintaining key environmental safeguards and supporting local employment and economic development.

The BLM published a notice of realty action on September 12, 2023, opening a public comment period through October 27, 2023. To support public review, the agency posted maps, NEPA compliance documents, and other materials to its ePlanning website. Feedback from stakeholders, including the Snake River Fund, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, and Teton Conservation District, was carefully considered in preparing the environmental assessment, which informed the finding of no significant impact and decision record.

To review the decision record, environmental assessment, finding of no significant impact, and supporting documents are available on the BLM National NEPA Register. For more information, contact the Pinedale Field Office, at 307-367-5300 or [email protected]
