BLM and partners adopt unified 14-day camping rule at Mittry Lake
YUMA, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Yuma Field Office, in coordination with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and Bureau of Reclamation, has updated camping rules at the Mittry Lake Coordinated Management Area.
Effective Nov. 1, 2025, the camping limit at Mittry Lake will change from 10 days per calendar year to 14 days within a 28-day period. This update aligns Mittry Lake with surrounding BLM-managed public lands and improves consistency in enforcement among the coordinating agencies.
Visitors may camp up to 14 days within any 28-day period at Mittry Lake. After 14 days, campers must move to another site at least 25 miles away. All other recreation rules remain unchanged.
