Permits are required for commercial and organized group rock guiding services at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Guest Climbing Permits will authorize companies and institutions to guide one 10-day trip or two 5-day trips during the 2027 calendar year. SRPs are limited to two tours per day per climbing area and 12 people per climbing area per route. Eight permits are available for commercial companies, and 4 permits are available for educational institutions/groups.

If applicants exceed the number of available permits, permit applicants will be selected through a random lottery and applicants not selected will be placed on a waiting list.

Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. All applicants will be notified of results by September 30, 2026. Those selected must submit a complete Special Recreation Permit package no later than October 15, 2026. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the permit.
