Event Description

The BLM's Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area in Lorton, Va., plans to hold several Earth Day activities from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday April 22, 2024. Volunteers should meet at the Mustang Trailhead.

Volunteers can choose to work in the pollinator garden, help out along the approximately 20 miles of trails, or prep the Meadowood community garden.

After the event, volunteers are invited to enjoy a guided hike along the Thompson Creek Loop trail.

A flyer with the information listed on this page for the Meadowood Earth Day event. Breneath the stylized text are images. At the top is a photo of a lush green plant-filled field at Meadowood, the bottom of the photo is edited to appear as though it has torn, and along that bottom edge are three more small photos, each within a circular frame, aligned left to right across the page, of a woman using a shovel, a path covered in leaves, and gloved hands holding, and preparing to plant a plant.
