Roseburg, Ore. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has updated the restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM on the Roseburg District.

“The public plays a valuable role in preventing wildfires on BLM-administered lands. This Fire Prevention Order asks the public to do their part to prevent wildfires by adhering to these specific requirements,” Roseburg District Manager Heather Whitman said. “The national average of human-caused wildfires comprises 85 percent of all wildfire occurrences every year. We are seeking the public’s help in lowering this percentage.”

The signed order is available online at the Oregon/Washington Fire Closures & Restrictions page.

This order is effective at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 30th, 2025, and will remain in effect on BLM-administered lands within the Roseburg District boundary until further notice.

Questions regarding this order may be addressed to the Roseburg District Office at 541-440-4930.
