Alaska Fire Closure Order Nome Creek TMZ White Mountains NRA AK020-25-003

The Eastern Interior Field Office has temporarily closed public access to the trails and all areas off the road system in the White Mountains National Recreation Area in the Nome Creek Travel Management Zone due to ongoing wildland fire activity associated with the Ophir fire (#216).

This order shall go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on June 20, 2025, and will remain in force until September 1, 2025, or otherwise rescinded.
