BLM partners with Boy Scouts on shoreline recreation site cleanup project

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is proud to partner with Boy Scouts of America on a shoreline cleanup project at Steamboat Cove, one of the most popular boat-in recreation sites on Lake Havasu.
During the cleanup on September 22, access to the beach at Steamboat Cove will be temporarily restricted from 8-11 a.m. as Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts and Venturers work alongside BLM rangers to clean the beach and remove debris from the water. The Scouts will earn their aquatic-based merit badge while making shoreline recreation safer and more pleasant for visitors.
