GUNNISON, Colo. – The BLM Gunnison Field Office will close its West Spencer Avenue offices permanently on Thursday, March 9 and reopen to the public at their new location at 2500 East New York Avenue in Gunnison, CO on Thursday, March 16, with regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“Our entire staff is eager to make this move after a number of years of making things work in temporary quarters,” said Gunnison Field Manager Jon Kaminsky. “Although we expect some disruption in services during the move, we hope to provide fairly seamless operations and look forward to welcoming the public to our new location.”

The new building is located adjacent to the FedEx building east of town. The entrance is on the south side of Highway 50 directly across from the turnoff to Gunnison County Road 72.

While limited staff will be available during the move, the public can reach the field office’s remote front desk at (970) 642-4940 or call the BLM Southwest District Office at (970) 240-5300.

Gunnison Field Office new administrative headquarters opens March 16. Entrance is off Highway 50 just east of Gunnison, CO.
