ST. GEORGE, UtahA right-of-way (ROW) amendment proposed by Santa Clara City would allow for the city to help meet the demand for water and improve travel conditions along a section of Stucki Springs Road to address safety concerns.

“This is another opportunity for us to work with our community partners in Santa Clara and improve infrastructure, including critical water lines and road improvements resulting in increased public safety,” said Bureau of Land Management (BLM) St. George Field Manager Keith Rigtrup.

The proposal would amend the city’s current right-of-way to add more water lines. In 2007, the BLM authorized a ROW grant to Santa Clara City for construction and long-term operation of a one million gallon water storage tank, a buried 20-inch water mainline with adjacent powerline, and access road to support the city's municipal water system.

The BLM’s St. George Field Office prepared the Draft Environmental Assessment of the Santa Clara City South Hills Right-of-Way Amendment that is available for a 30-day public review and comment period at https://go.usa.gov/x7mBN.
