Western Oregon 2010 Program of Work Oregon/Washington BLM

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR

BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT

Western Oregon 2010 Program of Work

In October 2009, the BLM released list of about 60 proposed timber sales scheduled over the next 12 months. These sales emphasize thinning of forest stands and we estimate that about 85 to 90 percent of the 2010 timber volume will be produced by thinning activities. The program of work reflects an interim approach as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife continues to work on refinement of the northern spotted owl recovery plan via a number of technical workgroups.

Below is a complete listing of the projects, by western Oregon BLM District, for Fiscal Year 2010. If the project has already undergone the requisite National Environmental Policy Act processes and public comment period, a link to the related planning materials can be found in the far left-hand column of the charts. Also shown on the chart is the approximate date of the public comment period, and for those projects that have not yet had a public comment period, when we anticipate that the public comment period will take place. It is important to note that this list is only an approximation of the projects scheduled to take place in western Oregon during Fiscal Year 2010, and will likely change throughout the year.
