Wyoming State Fair Wild Horse Adoption

August 16-20, 2016 
Douglas, Wyo

All Wyoming Mustang Days events are free and open to the public.

BLM officials will be on hand to approve adoption applications and 
answer questions.

August 16-19
    10 am - 6 pm
  • Halter-started horses & burros available for daily adoptions through silent bidding
  • Viewing of 10 saddle-started horses for adoption Saturday
  • Bidding will close everyday at 6 pm
Friday, August 19  
    8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Opening Ceremonies
  • Mustang Days All Wild Horse Show - free and open 
    to the public  
  • Halter, lead line, team sorting, trail, and western 
    cow handling
  • Classes for all riders and horses
  • Awards to high point winners of Junior, Adult, and 
    Open Divisions
Saturday, August 20 
    1 pm 
  • 1 pm - Preview of saddle started horses available for adoption
  • 1:30 pm - Wild horse adoption by competitive bid

Saddle started horses are trained by Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton, 
Wyoming, and the Mantle Wild Horse Training & Adoption Facility
in Wheatland, Wyoming.
