Tree planting on Earth Day.
The BLM-Kemmerer Field Office organized an event at the Slate Creek and Weeping Rock campgrounds near Fontenelle Dam in celebration of Earth Day 2010. Boy Scouts from Troop 915 teamed up with adults from several government agencies, as well as kids from the Youth Alternative Home in Evanston to plant 45 cottonwood trees.

Wally Mierzejewski, an outdoor recreation planner with the Bureau of Land Management, said the BLM Kemmerer Field Office joined with the Bureau of Reclamation and Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge to work with the Boy Scouts in making the campgrounds nicer for visitors, fish and wildlife.
