Public Comments Requested for Proposed Sale of Public Lands in Campbell County

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Buffalo Field Office is requesting comments on a proposed non-competitive (direct) sale of public lands in Campbell County, Wyo. under the authority of Section 203 FLPMA, (90 Stat. 2750, 43 U.S.C. 1713). The BLM published a notice of realty action in the Federal Register on Dec. 19, 2013, which opens a 45-day public comment period.

The BLM is considering a direct sale of one parcel of public land totaling 4.15 acres in Campbell County, Wyo., at no less than the appraised fair market value to Means Revocable Trust.

Due to the ownership pattern, this parcel is difficult for BLM to manage and there is no legal public access. The proposal conforms to the BLM Buffalo Resource Management Plan (RMP) approved on Oct. 4, 1985, and the parcel is identified for disposal in the RMP Record of Decision.
