BLM Pinedale Office Issues Firewood Permits

Firewood permits for the Pinedale Field Office area will be issued by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office beginning June 14, and ending Nov, 1. Weather and road conditions may affect the start date of permit sales. In the event of poor conditions, the beginning date of permit sales will be pushed back to June 21. Permits must be obtained at the Pinedale Field Office located at 1625 W. Pine St. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

There is a three cord minimum of firewood per individual permit and an eight cord maximum. The cost is $5.00 per cord. Load tickets/tags issued with the permit are to be filled out and attached to the load of wood before it is removed from the cutting area. No firewood permits will be issued after Nov. 1.
