“Operation Respect”
Hunter Information Available at BLM

“Operation Respect” hunter information packets are available free of charge at the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Rock Springs Field Office.

Operation Respect promotes respect for public and private land; provides information to the public on access and user ethics; and improves cooperative relations between public and private landowners. While the program is maintained year-round, it is especially emphasized during the fall hunting season.

In addition to Operation Respect information, hunters can also obtain maps and firewood cutting permits for a fee and also campground rules and regulations at the BLM.

BLM would also like to remind hunters to use only dead and down wood for campfire. Permits for public firewood cutting are available at the BLM office for the Prospect and Little Mountain areas. Also the discharge of firearms within campgrounds is prohibited.

The BLM Rock Springs Field Office is located at 280 Highway 191 North in Rock Springs. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information please contact the Rock Springs Field Office at 307-352-0256.
