Wild Horse and Burro Adoption

The Wyoming Bureau of Land Management and the Teton Back Country Horsemen will host a wild horse adoption on June 27th and 28th in Jackson, Wyo. at the Teton County Fairgrounds, 305 W. Snow King Ave.

The adoption will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28th. The adoption will offer 15 saddle and halter started horses, 15 yearlings and 5 burros. All the gentled horses have been haltered, led, trailered and have had their feet handled. Horse preview and adopter registration will begin at 8 a.m. A packing demonstration and clinic will be held at 11 a.m. by the Teton Back Country Horsemen.

On Friday, June 27th, adopter registration, horse preview, and training demos will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. All pre-approved adopters are invited to a barbecue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during which attendees can meet the trainers and BLM wild horse specialists. Teton Back Country Horsemen and Mantle Wild Horses are sponsoring the barbecue and music.
