Rock Springs BLM Seeks Comments on
Proposed Puma Prospect EA

The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Rock Springs Field Office is seeking comments on a proposed natural gas development project.

Davis Petroleum Corp. has announced plans to develop natural gas resources within the Frontier and Muddy Formations southwest of Rock Springs.  The proposed Puma Prospect area is located 17 miles east of Mountain View, Wyo.

Two natural gas wells have been drilled within the project area along with construction of an associated gas transportation pipeline. Davis proposes to drill an additional 13 wells in the area with construction of associated gas gathering pipelines and access roads over a 5-year period beginning in 2008.

Wells within the area would be drilled at a maximum density of one well per 160 acres.  No additional gas compression or other facilities are anticipated.

The scoping notice can be found at www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/rsfodocs/puma.html. If interested in participating in the process, please submit written comments until close of business June 19, 2008, to Jeromy Caldwell, Rock Springs Field Office, 280 Highway 191 North, Rock Springs, Wyoming 82901 or rock_springs_wymail@blm.gov.
