BLM Recognizes Bill Barrett Corporation:
Award Presented at BMP meeting in Buffalo
On April 15, 2008, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Buffalo Field Office presented Bill Barrett Corporation with an award of appreciation at the 5th annual best management practices (BMP) workshop in Buffalo, Wyo.
Bill Barrett Corporation was recognized by BLM for their use of BMPs in oil and gas development in the Powder River Basin. BLM is acknowledging Bill Barrett Corporation for their outstanding efforts to facilitate and expedite the processing of the Pumpkin Creek, Pine Tree North, and Pine Tree South plans of development (PODs).
"During these projects, Bill Barrett Corporation demonstrated exceptional planning, organization, ownership of the project, promptness, and flexibility to resolve resource issues. Their work ethic, and communication skills set the standard for operator conduct during the POD process," said Chris Hanson, Buffalo Field Office Manager.
The Buffalo Field Office has started a program to recognize oil and gas operators who are setting an example for industry in the development of Federal oil and gas resources.
