BLM Pinedale Begins Work on
Warren Bridge Public Fishing Area

Improvements on Recreation Area Road and the Warren Bridge Campsite have begun within the popular Warren Bridge Public Fishing Area. “Area recreationists and visitors may experience brief traffic delays and temporary camping inconveniences,” said Martin Hudson, Pinedale BLM outdoor recreation specialist.

“This reconstruction work, weather permitting, is expected to continue through this fall with project completion expected next summer. The BLM asks all the area visitors to be careful when driving on the main road, especially when passing heavy equipment or driving where workers are present,” he added. Information signs will be posted on the road in the vicinity of major road work. Camping at developed campsites may be closed or otherwise restricted. Campsite improvement work will not affect all sites at the same time; therefore good campsites should always be available.

This area provides the public with access to 9 miles of the Green River for fishing, hunting, camping, boating, wildlife watching and many other outdoor activities. The improvements include new restrooms, all weather road, 3 boat ramps, campsite enhancements and better visitor information services. The BLM and cooperators will strive to manage this very special place to benefit of area residents and visitors.

The Warren Bridge Public Fishing Area is managed by the BLM, Wyoming Game and Fish Department and cooperating landowners. The Warren Bridge Public Fishing Area is located near U.S. Highway 191 on the Green River in Sublette County.
