The Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Office has received nominations for the July 2015 Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale on the following proposed parcels to lease for oil and gas development. This requires the preparation of an environmental assessment (EA) by each BLM Field Office.

There is a two week public comment period to identify any issues in the preparation of the EAs.

Stipulation summaries, GIS shapefiles, and maps are also provided. This allows the public an opportunity to provide comments which are then analyzed and incorporated into the environmental analysis as appropriate.

Thirty day public review and comment period of the lease sale Environmental Assessment (EA) and the unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). Comments received from the public will be analyzed and incorporated into the environmental analysis as appropriate.

Notice of Competitive Lease Sale and lease sale Environmental Assessment (EA) posting with unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). Thirty day lease sale protest period begins.

Protest Period for the Oklahoma and Texas parcels, 056-072, occurred January 21, 2015, through February 19, 2015.  Due to the postponement of the April 2015 Oil & Gas Lease Sale, these parcels are now being offered for sale in the July 2015 Oil & Gas Lease Sale.  These parcels are not subject to the July 2015 Oil & Gas Lease Sale protest period.
