Project Archaeology: Investigating Food and Land

A curriculum was developed through this project to educate 4th and 5th grade students on hunter-gatherers and Desert Archaic lifeways, as well as how to read and use maps. Lincoln County public land sales provided $197,467 in funding to accomplish the task. A tour of the cave pictured above was part of the first year’s curriculum. The project closed out in 2019.
