BLM Wyoming Wetlands and Riparian
Riparian areas on BLM lands in Wyoming include those lands surrounding lakes, streams, creeks and rivers. BLM Wyoming works to maintain the health and function of the dominant rangeland ecosystems and wildlife habitats so valuable and available to the public on BLM lands in the State. While riparian areas represent less than four percent of the overall landscape in Wyoming, they support more than 80 percent of the State’s wildlife populations.
