Toward a goal of shared conservation, one of our Bureau’s national priorities is working with partners to develop and implement priority habitat monitoring and improvement projects.
In support, we are working with our partners to promote multiple-use on public lands through collaborative conservation efforts both internally and externally. Priority efforts include:
- Working with Oregon Sage-Grouse Conservation Partnership (SageCon) and Local Greater Sage-grouse Implementation Teams
- Working closely with partners and cooperators such as Rangeland Fire Protection Associations to achieve Cohesive Strategy goals
- Piloting the Service First fire management organization at the OR/WA State Office and the Forest Service Regions 6 and 10 offices
