Summary of Public Comments Received -- Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) Released December 3, 1999
The Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for Amendment to the Survey and Manage, Protection Buffer, and Other Mitigating Measures Standards and Guidelines was issued by the USDA Forest Service (USFS), and the USDI Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on December 3, 1999.
The 90-day comment period closed on March 3, 2000.
The DSEIS supplements the Final SEIS on Management of Habitat for Late-Successional and Old-Growth Forest Related Species Within the Range of the Northern Spotted Owl, commonly known as the Northwest Forest Plan. For additional background and information, please read the joint USFS/BLM Memorandum to the Interested Public, dated December 3, 1999.
Please note that the FSEIS and the FSEIS Executive Summary will be posted on this web site as soon as the FSEIS is available to the Public.
