National Fire Plan Project Design and Consultation Process Interagency Site

Salmonid Criteria

Through an interagency memo dated January 10, 2005, updates to the species criteria for the Northwest National Fire Plan Project Design and Consultation Process will no longer occur. However, the Salmonid Criteria document above incorporates comments from the 2004 review. This final update received interagency review so that the Salmonid Criteria will continue to be useful for consultations and project design. Per the interagency memo, the criteria can no longer be used to provide a 14 day Letter of Concurrence from NOAA Fisheries and Fish and Wildlife Service on National Fire Plan projects that meet the project criteria and effects determinations. Use of the criteria as part of a consultation should be reviewed by interagency processes, such as Level 1 Teams.
