The BLM will offer and administer contracts for harvesting a variety of special forest products throughout the Salem District. The program includes, but is not limited to, the following products: beargrass, burls and specialty woods, cascara bark, Christmas trees, cones, conifer boughs, cut sticks, firewood (including standing roadside hardwood and conifers), fungi (mushrooms and quinine and other conks), greenery, pitch, products measured in board feet, transplant stock and roots, and truffles.

The BLM has revised the truffles harvest provisions under the Salem District Special Forest Products program. Under the Special Forest Products program, the BLM will offer and administer contracts for harvesting a variety of special forest products throughout the Salem District.
