Bonneville Off Road Club to conduct motor vehicle races south of Wendover May 10

ELKO, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is asking for the public’s cooperation during motor vehicle races being held Saturday, May 10, beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The races are being hosted by the Bonneville Off Road Club under a special recreation permit issued by the Elko District.

The race course is located approximately 11 miles south of West Wendover, east of the alternate 93, at the base of the Goshute Mountain range. The course will be marked, however, contestants will be traveling at high rates of speed in the marked area during the day. Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area on Saturday to minimize potential impacts or conflicts between recreationists and motorized traffic.
