Great Basin Cache is located at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) in Boise, Idaho, has a base inventory of approximately 3,700 different items at a value of $20 million. This BLM owned cache supports many types of emergency situations in addition to wildland fire, such as floods, earthquakes and hurricanes. Planned events such as a prescribed fire are also supported.
