BLM to Continue with Prescribed Fire near Moon Creek

The Bureau of Land Management will be continuing with prescribed burning operations southwest of Miles City in the Moon Creek area.

Approximately 678 acres has been scheduled for burning --as weather permits-- in order to reduce the threat of future wildfire spreading from BLM-administered lands onto adjacent private lands.

The project area is located about 12 miles southwest of Miles City, 22 miles south of the I-94 Moon Creek Road exit. The burning will be initiated based on daily weather conditions. Signs will be placed along the county road when operations are underway.
