Project Description:
The BLM has received an application requesting a Long-Term Campsite (LTC) on the main stem of the Fortymile River. The site is located at 8.9 river miles below the headwaters of the main stem on the right bank. The site is an improved LTC and has been used in the past by suction dredge miners for camping to support their state riverbed mining operations.
Project Location:
The site is described as SE1/4, Sec.21 T7S. R31E FM (8.9R) on the right bank of the main stem of the Fortymile River facing downstream.
