Project Description:
The Oneida County Road and Bridge Department has applied to renew their Free Use Permit for mineral materials located at the Cow Hollow Pit. Their existing permit (IDI-23737-03) expired January 25, 2011. The materials would be mined from the previously established pit. The pit has a total disturbance of approximately 2.5 acres. The project site is located on acquired lands and federal public lands which are managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The proposed action is to issue a Free Use Permit to the Oneida County Road and Bridge Department for up to 10,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel which would expire in 10 years.

The legal description of the application area is: T. 16 S.; R. 31 E.; Section 4, E½SENW. The project area is located in Oneida County, Idaho, approximately 7 miles northwest of the city of Stone.
