The Ely District Public Safety and Nuisance Gather Final Environmental Assessment (DOI-BLM-NV-L000-2014-0004-EA), and Finding of No Significant Impact and Decision Record are  available in the "Documents" section.  Hard copies are available, upon request.

The Environmental Assessment analyzes the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ely District Office's need to address potential environmental consequences associated with wild horse management in order to reduce and mitigate public safety concerns along major roadways in and outside Herd Management Areas/Herd Areas (HMA/HA) boundaries, decrease nuisance animal complaints on private lands, and address management issues of wild horses that reside outside HMA/HA boundaries, in accordance with the Wild Free-Roaming horses and Burros Act of 1971.

The Finding of No Significant Impact documents BLM's Determination that the proposed action will not result in "significant environmental impacts" and the Decision Record approves implementation of the proposed gather.
