Can I ride my mountain bike on this trail system?

The trail design will allow for mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding.

Will dogs be allowed on the trails?

Yes, bringing pets on the trail would be allowed as regulated under County pet ordinances.

Will camping be allowed along the loop trails or in the parking/staging areas?

No, the loop trails and parking/staging areas will be for day use only.

Are taxpayer funds being used for this Project?

No, the CVTA is a non-profit organization.  The construction and maintenance of the loop trails will not require public funding.

How will this project affect motorized recreation in the area?

This project will not close any motorized routes in the Project area.

This project will not change the current Travel Management status in the Project area which is "Open."

How can I be involved to make sure the Pine Nut Mountains are open to motorized vehicles?

There is no planning underway within the BLM to close the area to motorized vehicles.

A resource management plan (RMP) revision is in-progress, and there will be a Travel Management component.  To be added to the mailing list for the RMP revision contact Colleen Sievers at: 775-885-6000.
