This draft RMP addresses management of a wide range of planning issues for the public lands within the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area (D-E NCA). Two overarching planning issues for this draft RMP are:

1.  What decisions are necessary to conserve and protect the unique and important resources and values of the land, including the geological, cultural, archaeological, paleontological, natural, scientific, recreational, wilderness, wildlife, riparian, historical, educational, and scenic resources of the public land?

2.  What decisions are necessary to conserve and protect the water resources of area streams, based on seasonally available flows, and support aquatic, riparian and terrestrial species and communities?

Uses in the D-E NCA include recreation, science and education, livestock grazing, transportation and travel management, and lands and realty.
